The brief: Build a master and slide library for A11 not in PowerPoint but directly in Google Slides — matched to the day-to-day work of the growth consultancy and stage-ready for big appearances at the same time.

A11 works entirely in Google Slides, not PowerPoint. That creates a problem most other projects don't have: Google Slides simply can't do as much as PowerPoint, especially around master functions, charts, icons and object formatting. Before a single slide could be built, we first had to establish what's actually possible in Google Slides — and where the limits are. On top of that, A11's CI is a genuinely important part of their brand, and it had to come through consistently on every slide, master and library alike, despite Google Slides' constraints. A11 is also a growth consultancy that works with numbers — KPIs, profitability levers, market data — so the material had to hold up both in a tight client workshop and on a big stage at conferences and pitches.

We started with an audit: systematically checking what Google Slides can actually do — from master layouts to chart types, icons and object formatting — and where it falls short compared to PowerPoint. For the build itself, we deliberately took a detour: master and slides were first drafted in PowerPoint, since it allows more precise, faster design work, then imported and adapted in Google Slides. That let us push both tools to their limits instead of being constrained by Google Slides from the start — and deliver the best result actually achievable in Google Slides. Because the CI is brand-defining for A11, this wasn't just about formatting: colors, typography and imagery had to be exactly right so the brand stays recognizable on every slide. We built the slide library itself around A11's actual day-to-day work: the consultancy runs workshops and projects on data-driven growth topics — from sales and marketing to profitability, product and data — so it needed slides for analysis, KPIs, processes and case studies. A11 also presents on big stages and pitches to investors and prospective clients, so the library includes a lot of elements specifically for pitching at events and conferences too — team and company slides, big number statements, reference slides. All told, it's a very extensive library that works across a wide range of presentation situations.

A11 now has a master and slide library in Google Slides that carries the new design as far as the tool allows — without the compromises a design built directly and exclusively in Google Slides would have meant. The CI, a central part of A11's brand, is now communicated consistently through the master and slide library. The library covers both the daily workshop and project work and the big pitch appearances — one system for both.
